A magnetic parts tray on your fridge means that you’ll never have to go looking for a lighter or bottle opener again.

  1. The problem is that people don’t remember to put things back where they were, whether it came out of a drawer or off the fridge. So the bottle opener gets taken off there, used, handed to someone, used again, put on the counter, and so on. Lighters get taken outside and then put in pockets and forgotten.

Figure out a way to get everyone to put them back on the damn tray and you’ll have something.

  2. I just keep my lighter in my pocket and my bottle opener attached to a belt loop (it’s either a Leatherman Skeletool or a Home Depot paint can opener on a carabiner with my keys).

  3. Magnets are great for tool storage around the tool box or bench. Just throw up the well used drivers and pliers for easy access. I rob the big round magnets from the magnetron of old microwave ovens. Also strong are magnets from defunct hard drives, especially the dinosaur 5″ jobs. Or you can just buy cheap Chinese magnets on eBay.
